This prototype was created as part of a weekend hackathon run by Atlassian and UNSW Digital Society, with the objective to improve the accessibility of Atlassian products to a distributed workforce. Our team placed as a finalist out of 40 teams.
View Slide DeckBy trialing the products first-hand and conducting market research by investigating competitors, we found that:
From these findings, we set 3 product goals to design our solution on:
We then conducted a competitive analysis of product management tools across various competitors and industries, drawing insights from their key strengths and weaknesses to ideate visions for our solution.
Users can access all Atlassian Products centralised within our sidebar located on the right of their screen. Users are able to open products side by side with the ability to drag and drop elements between products with ease, empowering users to create more open and transparent communication of information, and additionally removing the friction of context switching between multiple products, often exacerbated by smaller screens in different WFH setups.
View PrototypeUsers are able to access bundles of aggregated activity and tasks from their teams across multiple platforms and directly complete actionables through their personal assistant, ATLAD.
ATLAD, positioned at the bottom-right of a users screen on the new App Bar, provides a more accessible solution for users to complete their actionables and communications across Atlassian’s portfolio of products. Here, new tasks and updates are grouped by the Atlassian product.
By tailoring the assistant to the user, ATLAD provides a dynamic solution to bridging the time-gap between an individual with their work and their team.
View PrototypeLive updates are shown on user profiles when completing tasks to improve accessibility for teamwork and collaboration, as well as accessible auto-generated information regarding current tasks accomplished by the user. Furthermore, we’ve enhanced our ‘view settings’ and provided new viewing options for goal roadmaps to cater to all users.
Our user profiles provide a new layer of individualisation for users to express themselves to their team within a distributed workforce, main features include location, timezone, interests, and company badges. Social interactions have been added within the profile through our kudos feature to facilitate an inclusive environment.
